KENOSHA, Wis. — A 56-year-old Kenosha man is facing six new criminal charges after police say he crashed into a parked car early Tuesday morning while under the influence, fled the scene, and admitted he wasn’t supposed to be driving.

George E. Malone Jr. appeared in court Tuesday and was ordered held on a $5,000 cash bond. He is charged with fourth offense OWI—a felony—along with misdemeanor counts of operating while revoked, failure to install an ignition interlock device, possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping.
According to a criminal complaint, Kenosha Police responded to the 4700 block of 42nd Avenue just after 2 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, after a silver Chevrolet Impala struck a parked Nissan Rogue and a tree. A tow truck driver who had arrived at the scene reported that the driver had fled on foot.
Officers caught up to Malone shortly after. Police say he was out of breath, slurring his words, and smelled of marijuana. He reportedly admitted he had fled because he was out on bond and wasn’t supposed to be driving.
Field sobriety tests were conducted, and Malone allegedly performed poorly on multiple parts. Officers also found a marijuana grinder in plain view in the vehicle.
Authorities say Malone’s license had been revoked since 2020 due to a prior OWI conviction, and he was under a court order to install an ignition interlock device, which was not present in the vehicle.
At the time of the crash, Malone was out on bond in two open misdemeanor cases in Kenosha County—both involving charges of operating while revoked and failure to comply with ignition interlock requirements. Conditions of those bonds prohibited him from driving without a valid license.
If convicted of all charges, Malone faces up to:
- 6 years in prison for the Class H felony OWI (fourth offense),
- 1 year for operating while revoked,
- 6 months for failure to install the ignition interlock device,
- 30 days for possessing drug paraphernalia,
- 9 months each for the two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping.
.
Malone’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 2.
