The trial of alleged arsonist Joshua Ziminski has been postponed again. The trial was slated for January 31, 2022. It was then postponed until today, March 28, 2022 due to allegations of witness intimidation. Due to the unavailability of Ziminski’s attorney, Michael Barth, the trial was postponed today until June 21, 2022. Ziminski is accused of arson and shooting a pistol on August 25, 2022, the night Kyle Rittenhouse shot and killed two men in self-defense during the riots.
Judge Schroeder appeared by video mean as he is on the last day of a covid-19 quarantine. Prosecutor T. Clair Binger was in court today and ready to proceed. Defense attorney Michael Barth also had a jury trial today in Judge Rossell’s court room and that trial started this morning, halting this trial.
Ziminski appeared visibly upset to have the trial postponed again yelling from the defense table, “When is the trial?!” Schroeder’s clerk snapped back “We’ll get you a date in a second.”
Also, in court today was Kelly Ziminski, Joshua’s wife. ADA Binger asked Judge Schroeder to verbally command her to appear at the next trial date, continuing her subpoena. She is expected to testify against her husband. She was recently released from prison for her role in the arson and a probation revocation.
