While the thunder clouds rolled in, country star Jason Aldean took the stage at Country Thunder. He played for about 30 minutes until he was told to wrap it up due to imminent storm activity. Still, he wanted to play his new song, “Try That In A Small Town.” Sensitive people and media personalities on the left, have shouted that they’ve been offended by a song about standing up to violence. The feign controversy has only added to Aldean’s success. Michelle and Cara, both 29 of Bartlett, IL, both said that they were at Aldean’s concert because they love his music. “We approve of the song… There’s a fake controversy manufactured by the negative media.”

Before the storm hit, Aldean made a small speech before playing “Try That In A Small Town.” in front of a fired-up crowd.

“I’ve been called a lot of things this week,’‘ said country star Jason Aldean Saturday night. “I’ve been called racist. I’ve been called all kinds of stuff. I just want to make it very clear. When I look at that [music] video, I see all kinds of people doin’ dumb shit. I see white people, I see black people. I see people of all colors. The song, the video, is not directed to one particular person. But, what I see when I turn on the TV, which is people acting completely ridiculous.”

Immediately upon finishing the song, the festival grounds was evacuated. I caught some photo of the popular performer.

  1. Aldean knew exactly what he was saying with this song, and that where he filmed the video would create what he wanted, publicity. He and his wife just make money off of the division in this Country, that is also what sickens me!

    1. Do you say the same about the songs that talk about harming people and police? Or wrong agenda? Or riots that called to hurt police? Sorry your hypocrisy is showing

      1. I would actually we have freedom of speech here and believe the song should be played if wanted to. It also doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be called out for what it is and for what he intended to say. He could have filmed this video anywhere but chose to where a lynching of a black person took place. His message is very clear.

        1. I think he has the right to sing what he wants.

In partial defense, Aldean says he hasn’t read a book since high school and may not have known the historical significance of the courthouse.

Much of the riot footage was shot in Montreal and Toronto.

Funny he extolls the virtues of small town living in a place (Twin Lakes) which recently was ground zero for OD deaths.

        2. Try this, he lives very close to Columbia, TN and filmed it near his home as it is convenient to be near his family. Was it Hannah Montana that also had that courthouse in the background of the show? Did you get outraged then?

      2. Gangsta shit rap was the demise of society. These same leftist scum celebrated Iced T singing “Cop Killer”.

  2. And the most important part is when he said……..”so if anybody was triggered by the song or feels like I’m talking to them, then maybe you’re the problem. I don’t know what to tell you”

  3. Haaaaa. Isn’t this rich… Twin Lakes and “try that in a small town?” That happened a couple years ago in Twin Lakes, with a mob and one guy in a pickup truck. Mob attacks one man and he defends himself (goodnight) drug dealers, so the whole town turns on said guy. Then after the conviction for first degree they had a party worth 5k with booze and all the fixens. Guess who got he bill…. That’s right the guy from try that in a small town…. You clowns amuse me.

  7. I thought the left cries freedom of speech at every riot and protest. The mayor candidate koerri even cried that while harassing police the other night. Weird how it only goes one way huh? Kinda like some of the local “supervisors” at the last meeting and now he posts about the song. Can’t make this up huh
