“We are proud of the student who chose to fight off the assailant and the student who chose to help someone in distress,” said Kenosha Police Lt. Josh Hecker. “Today the case made significant strides as a person of interest was taken into custody. We are working with outside agencies to further our investigation. Current technology and solid police work by some of our neighboring police partners led to the quick apprehension. We do not believe this person has ties to our community, including the Carthage College community, ” said Hecker.

This is an ongoing investigation, and police will not be releasing any more information at this time. However, the public is encouraged to contact Detective Eric Traxler of the Kenosha Police Department at 262-605-5223 if you have any information related to the investigation. 2. Inmate search is public information. The article states attempted assault and robbery so I’m not sure what the individual was charged with. It also states they are working with outside agencies to further the investigation and they do not believe this person has ties to our community. Hard to say which person it would be because there are several people being held on PO holds. https://inmate.kenoshajs.org/NewWorld.InmateInquiry/kenosha?Name=&SubjectNumber=&BookingNumber=&BookingFromDate=03%2F26%2F2024&BookingToDate=03%2F28%2F2024&Facility=

  3. My daughter lived at the dorms. She had a job at night so I gave her a taser to carry as it was a very long and dark walk to her dorm. She didn’t feel safe. Someone in her dorm reported that she had a taser and she almost got kicked out. After that semester she rented an apartment as I lived outside of Kenosha at that time and couldn’t help her. They need better security at the campus and means for students to defend themselves.m

          1. She is a sharp shooter, owns many guns, loves to hunt and a beautiful patriot. I am her mom (& was a single mom), I gave her the taser that Carthage was triggered by. We are a 2A family all the way. No consequences for commuting crime (like no gun zones *eye rolls*) only produces more crime, period!

            1. Conservatives despise single mothers. You seem to be acceptable to them since they are not ripping on you. You must be a white single mother.

              1. I call BS on your BS. I smell a looney lefty. I grew up in the ghetto, I seen reverse racism since I was a young child. You lefties LOVE to talk about race all the time and not the content of a persons character and EVERY color of skin have different good or horridly bad character. Please take the chip off your shoulder, it isn’t ever going to serve you well. I never felt I was not accepted anywhere because I never felt I was unacceptable, period. You get what you give.
