James Beller, Captain of the Kenosha Police Department detective bureau, recently graduated from an elite FBI Academy. According to the FBI, The FBI National Academy is a professional course of study for U.S. and international law enforcement managers nominated by their agency heads because of demonstrated leadership qualities.
The 10-week program—which provides coursework in intelligence theory, terrorism and terrorist mindsets, management science, law, behavioral science, law enforcement communication, and forensic science—serves to improve the administration of justice in police departments and agencies at home and abroad and to raise law enforcement standards, knowledge, and cooperation worldwide.

“Congrats to Captain James Beller for graduating the 291st session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia. It’s an amazing accomplishment. I was honored to be able to attend his graduation to see him and other law enforcement executives from around the world complete our nation’s most prestigious law enforcement training program in communication, leadership, and physical fitness. We look forward to the lessons he will bring back to the department to help better serve our community,” said Kenosha Police Chief Patrick Patton.

Beller has has served as patrolman, detective, Sergeant, Lieutenant, and finally, Captain. He was hired by Kenosha Police almost 24 years ago.

Congratulations, however the leadership of the FBI has tarnished their reputation. Good for you, shame on them.
Maybe Beller and the Kenosha police can now deal with the fact that both him and the department have concealed the fact that he was present at and witnessed the shooting of Michael Bell.

You are correct. However, why would an officer who witnessed the demise of a loser criminal deny being a witness of the act? He, and others, committed perjury to conceal the fact that he witnessed the shooting. Why would he do that if it was a good shoot? Could it be that him and the department did not want him to say what he actually saw?

My brother in law went through the FBI course many years ago. If this officer is anything like my b.i.l. then we are, and will continue to be, well served by him. Congrats!
Hopefully the course enables him to address corruption within the force. While I support KPD, they’ve got some officers on payroll that would prefer to cover up crimes instead of investigating them.

Normally the FBI covers the cost of the academy, the department you work for pays your wage while your in training because the training is to benefit the department you work for and community you server.
However- don’t be surprised when he leaves to be a chief/administrator at another department.

First of all, you don’t pay to go to the FBI academy. They pick up the costs. There is a very high standard to attend, including physical fitness, investigations, public relations and more. Not everyone gets in. And yes, once complete it is a pretty good perk on your resume. Congrats to Captain Beller. The Watcher sees !
