Several parents of female students have contacted KCE with a very serious concern. According to allegations shared with KCE by multiple sources:
A boy has been using the girls’ locker room to change at Westosha Central High School. He stares at the young girls while they change and that makes them feel very uncomfortable. Some of the girls began to use the stalls to change. When they would exit, the boy would be exposing his penis and rubbing himself with lotion. He claimed to the girls that the lotion was to “prevent chafing.”
The boy changes in the full nude, often exposing his penis and testicles. Many girls, some or most which are freshmen, approached the gym teacher, Miranda Hopkins. Hopkins told the girls that the boy “identifies” as a girl, so they have to let him have access. (Miranda is of no relation to a local school board member and teacher, Brian Hopkins, nor his father, Salem Lakes Trustee Bill Hopkins.)
There is a family locker room in the school that the girls starting using, but Hopkins told the girls they can’t use it and to stop “stirring up drama.” The girls then stopped changing in the locker room and went to gym class without the proper gym clothes on. The school punished them by marking down their grades and handing out “unexcused absences.”
Multiple parents have called the school multiple times and the school leadership finally called seemingly tried to address the issue. The girls were told that the boy is no longer allowed in the female locker room, but they say he isn’t listening to that directive.
One girl was allegedly assaulted by this boy as she told him to “put [his] dick away,” and he pushed the girl. He was suspended for this violence and/or smashing a chromebook in a fit of rage against another student. Some students have told school staff that the boy has threatened to “shoot up the school”, but they say the teachers laughed it off and told the students not to be “dramatic.”

This boy, when he attended Salem was also in constant trouble for violent behavior. One father told KCE “I find it unacceptable that a 14-year-old girl is required to change in front of a 16-year-old boy to complete a required class in school… I don’t feel like the district is taking this seriously.”
KEC made contact today with John Gendron, Westosha’s Administrator. He told us “Unfortunately I am not able to comment on your question regarding the student mentioned as it deals with student privacy, including student records and discipline.”

KCE contacted a Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office spokesman today who said the the Sheriff’s Office has not received a complaint about these allegations but will be looking into them.
The Kenosha Unified School District just voted to allow boys in the girls locker rooms and sports and some wondered “what could go wrong?” Apparently this is what could go wrong.
We will keep you updated as we learn more.

My daughter was in the class when it happened. I called the school concerned and it was made out to me that he meant it directed towards the “individuals involved” because they were going to be in just as much trouble and wasn’t meant that he was going to “shoot up the school”!!! 🙄 the girls in that class and another he’s in, are terrified of him and huddle together to avoid him!

Maybe your first phone call should be to your daughter to make sure that you really have as complete as story as she knows and not a warmed over one. Obviously she is not going to be in every moment of his life at school or hear everything that happened despite how good news travels through hallways and walls. There’s obviously a story out there, or rather at least two stories out there. One story about what has actually happened and another about how it is not being dealt with. Obviously this kid is mentally ill but that is not a problem isolated to himself, the system has allowed him to become a cancer and it seems apparent that we are running out of time before he becomes a deadly cancer.

The administration and school board at WCHS are excellent. They are being put in an impossible situation. If they don’t adhere to the rules, they are probably going to be facing lawsuits. Maybe consider who you’re voting for and putting into office, i.e. Governor Tony Evers thinks it’s perfectly fine to let biological males compete in women’s sports.

I’ve been sued one time for defamation. When the judge threw out the lawsuit, he said he scoured the record and could not find one sintella of evidence that I said anything false, in fact, he said that he found evidence that everything I said was true. I am a student who has to change with this person everyday. For everyone saying to just “get over it” or to just “deal with it” I shouldnt have to. I am 14 years old. As a parent of a child at Westosha Central High School, I believe it is incredibly irresponsible of the school to not provide transparency. These are our children. If these allegations are true or partly true, we at a minimum should have been notified weeks ago rather than us finding out through this article. Kids do crazy things to get parental approval, especially those starved for it.

They are starved for attention, they feel unseen suffer from numerous types of mental illness. One or both of the parents will exhibit aggression, lack of both control and emotional intelligence as well. These kids are abused in at least one form of abuse often multiple; be it emotionally, mentally, physically, even sexually, which means at least one parent if not both are abusers.
The behavior that was described is that of a kid like that, not the behavior of trans kids. Many trans kids avoid the locker room shower areas completely, due to the abuse they suffer from their peers, and in too many cases school staff even administers. Trans kids are the ones being bullied and abused in school, they are not the ones that are the bullies.

And in one study, only a quarter of secondary school principals reported they believed that their transgender students would feel safe on their respective campuses.

These trans kids do not want anything that we should not be able to provide. What too many people see as unreasonable demands are actually very basic. They want to be able to live as the person they are without fear of being verbally, physically, or sexually assaulted. They want to be addressed with respect. I’m lucky that I not only identify as female I was born female as well. I am quite secure in who I am yet I find it so disrespectful to be called dude. It’s insulting to have anyone identify you as during other that who you are.
It’s no different for trans kids except they weren’t born the sex they identify as, and they often have identified that way since before they could speak, their parents are rarely shocked by it because they have known since the child was a toddler as well.

This is what the NSBA advises to do for the kids that are not comfortable sharing a locker room or rest room with a peer that is trans.
“For students who express they feel unsafe or uncomfortable using the same restroom that a transgender student uses, they should be reassured that transgender students do not pose a risk to their safety, and that school personnel deliberately monitor restrooms locker rooms to prevent and address problem behaviors. A separate, private restroom (or dressing area) should be made available to any student who requests them.”
If this article is correct then than the school failed those students that reported they were being harassed.
First of all, it should never have happened because there should always be adult supervision in all areas of the school that students are in, locker rooms, bathrooms. This should be the standard, not just because of trans students, but for all the kids that have been the victim of bullying, the girls that are sexually harassed, those that are harassed about race, nationality, religion. Those on the spectrum that are abused by peers on a regular basis.
Schools should be safe environments for all kids. It is actually far easier for the school to provide that and immensely less damaging to kids if the abuse never happens. Having adult supervision 100% off the time through out every area that students have access to, ensures that there are no opportunities for that to happen.
Yes the school would have to add more staff, but that cost wouldn’t come close to the amount it would cost when they school is sued over a kid being abused or their rights being taken away. The cost would not be that high and keeping all kids safe would be worth far far more.
Now I guarantee that those that scream the loudest about trans kids being allowed to live as they identify, will scream even louder at this very simple very low cost effective solution to multiple issues that make school unsafe for many different kids.
Their objection isn’t really about safety concerns that they claim to be their issue, they only use that because it is the most effective concern they can use to rationalize their position.
They don’t want any kid that that they don’t approve of whether it’s trans, race, religion, nationality, spectrum, allowed near their kids.
We will never be able to please them without defying the constitutional rights of the kids and their families. However there is a valid simple solution for them as well. They can accept that chile will be providing a safe healthy place for all kids or they will be informed that they have the right and should utilize it, they should be told to pull their child out and send them to a private, religious, or charter school that would provide the environment they want for their kid.
Let’s hope that everyone takes a deep breath does their own research and has the emotional intelligence to empathize with all of the students whether trans or not.

Thanks for replying. Here’s why I asked: there was a community note on “X” calling this story into question because her name isn’t listed as faculty. But, your site seems credible so I wanted an explanation. I did think it was odd there seem to be no female PE teachers listed.
This teacher is still there. The district administrator scrubbed her from the website after she received numerous emails etc. Kevin inquired and the school sent him an email explaining this. My son goes there. He knew immediately who the teacher was.
I’m going to make this simple for everyone. KENOSHA COUNTY IS GOING TO HELL! I lived in Kenosha County for 32 years. Grew up in Bristol. Was a renegade. Graduated westosha. Had kids in Salem Grade School. I just pulled them and moved 2.5 hrs north because I couldn’t stand the school or where the area was heading. There’s no cop presence. They are too busy sitting around in parking lots circle jerking. Drivers speed. Kwik trip became the late night “country boy” with a pretty truck burnout spot. Cops drive right on by and don’t do anything. Hwy 50 min speed is like 80. Pedestrians getting hit by vehicles left and right. The construction is ran by a literal squirrel. My kids new school is awesome. They actually have a zero bullying policy. They don’t just say it like Kenosha county schools. They say pledge of allegiance every morning still teachers communicate without being prompted. All the teachers send emails with the homework because they actually understand kids come home and say “no homework” and fall behind. My kids love it and say the school is a million times better than their old school. I’m convinced they are purposely letting Kenosha county go to shit. Everyone from IL flooding in running from IL taxes. Kenosha county schools have a massive bullying problem and no one cares to try and fix it. I have talked to everyone principle. Everyone in the district and they just sit there and queef out their mouths. If you have the means, move! Unless your a liberal that just loves stories like this. Remember when Matt Walsh rented out someone’s basement in Louden County to become a resident to call out the school board there after a girl was raped by a boy in the restroom? The school board tried to stop him from speaking but he did all he could to call out the madness; yet most of us cannot be bothered to even write a letter to the school board, let alone attend a meeting. Those that sit home are just as guilty as those who allow the madness.

I’m running for the Brighton seat on the school board in April and if elected will continue to hold the other board members and administration accountable. Some may recall the student survey that was going to be sent earlier this year which contained questions on mental or psychological problems, sex behavior or attitudes, illegal, antisocial, self-incriminating, and demeaning behavior. Me and a host of other concerned parents spoke out against it, and the survey was ultimately postponed. Since then, I’ve been attending all school board meetings and successfully pushed back on the latest Title IX provisions from being codified in school policy until such time as the host of lawsuits make their way through the courts. If you live in the Town of Brighton, please vote for Neil Lakomiak for school board. February 28, 2025 is the Spring Primary and April 1, 2025 is the Spring Election. Thank you.

Hello, I’m a student at Central High School and I’m friends with the “dude” in this article. She is one of my friends, and yes she has said some messed up things. But I never took her seriously, I don’t know the girls that are saying this happened but I don’t trust this man at all. How is it that in this day and age of school shootings this boy is not taken seriously by the school district and/or law enforcement when he threatens to “shoot up” anybody?
The girls’ privacy rights are being denied, and their parents should SUE the school district for failing to protect them. What this young MAN is doing is outrageous, and parental anger and violence against the boy is certainly justified. I don’t think violence is ever the solution, but this young man needs to be STOPPED. HIS BEHAVIOR IS DOING IRREPARABLE HARM TO GIRLS, and no girl should be forced to see a naked man as part of a REQUIRED class. That really is a form of TORTURE and ABUSE.
