    1. … typical of a few county “employees” of various counties ……. if you want to know the truth of it.
This I know from personal experience sorry to say.

  1. It doesn’t take a meteorologist to tell you it’s snowing and it’s virtually certain that this defendant is mentally ill.

The hidden story is what happened between November and now. Did it take two months to charge her? If she’s very dangerous, why was that allowed to happen? Should she be on a mental health commitment? Sounds like they have ample grounds.

        1. This is sad and unfortunate that our mental health resources are limited. However, she should not be allowed around children. And, is she faking?

          3
          1
          1. Someone attempts suicide several times and your first instinct is to offer up the idea that she could be faking? Jesus fucking Christ.

    1. Republicans really can’t let that COVID stuff go, huh? Yeah, read, she was on the HUD team. This team works with lead ridden homes, not what the health department does with vaccinations. Dip shit.

      1

  2. Obviously she has mental health issues and needs much needed inpatient help and support. I’m sure she’s been ill for many years. I hope she gets the help needed rather then suffer in jail.

  3. I resigned from the health department not that long ago. I can assure some of or if not all these mental health issues arise from working in the health department! The director is useless and was hired based on them not being able to find anyone (she is not even qualified)., the incompetent supervisors in Environmental health that get away with murder (different rules apply to them) This is the biggest reason I chose to leave, the toxic environment and the blind eye towards managements incompetence!

    13
    1
    1. Oh, I’m sure they could READILY “find” a good qualified candidate ……… they were just too lazy to try.
      Typical.

    2. I second that. Everyone needs to look deeper into the concerning issues at the health department. Good employees getting treated horribly by terrible management. County executive and humans services director turn a blind eye because they have no one else to run the place. County board supervisors need to do an depth investigation about the toxic culture at the health department.

    3. I’ve heard so many people are either walking out or getting fired because of the health officer “director”. She’s not even qualified to be called a director. She was pushed in and dressed for the role because she will do whatever the higher ups ask of her. There are so many GOOD departments in Kenosha County but this department and the public works department are making the whole county look bad.

        1. Any current employees want to chirp in? There’s no way that many employees have left or were forced to leave in such a short period time.

          1. Chirping….it’s true. It’s all public records…look it up. Do a open records request for the health director and HR and you will see.

  4. Kevin, you want a real story, look at some reasoning behind this. The health director at Kenosha county has been reported to HR, Samantha Kerkman, and the county board and no one will listen. It’s because so many people would be in trouble for the actions she’s done, the whole county would be exposed. Just ask any public health employee their thoughts on her. It’s so bad, please help!

    1. Samantha Kerkman appointed her. She will never admit she made a mistake. Samantha Kerkman is all about secrecy and playing games. We need someone who actually cares about the county and can be transparent. Her and her joke of a staff need go!

      1. Well if Kevin looks into what’s going on there including the fraud that’s being covered up, she will have no choice but to admit she made a mistake.

    2. Yes. The toxic culture worsened her mental health. Anyone who speaks up, asks questions, or challenges decisions is targeted and portrayed as difficult and insubordinate. Good, talented employees leaving left and right.

      1. Why do you think the Human Services assistant director now needs to spend time directly in the health department offices? Because management needs a babysitter. So incompetent it’s crazy.

  5. 1. Mental health needs to be the top priority here. I can assure you, Lyndsay is a great person and supervisor, she ran it very well. It seems like something happened in her life and she truly needs some support. Stop being so quick to pass judgement.

    2. The health department is an absolute joke. People leave there left and right because it’s toxic and poorly managed. Fraud, lies, secrets, “my way or the highway” attitude despite having some amazing employees actually doing the work. It is no surprise that the health department may have worsened Lyndsays mental state.

    1. Kevin do some digging into the health department. You may find yourself a story on your hands. Or ask the 10-15 people who have quit or been fired in the last 6 months or so

  6. The actual number of people that have left is 14 with several more leaving as soon as they find a new position. There are also several waiting for their 5 year anniversary to be vested with the county. The tax payers are being fleeced by this continual turnover, and waste of resources for retraining people to replace those that could no longer tolerate the tyranny.

    1. And the employees that have left are being fleeced because most of them love their jobs but not the management. Most supervisors are well intentioned but health officer, managers, basically anyone’s name that begins with an L that’s not Lauren(s), have destroyed the mission.

  7. Whoever the replacement is, it should be a based individual with common sense. If we only learned one thing from the past few years, we can’t trust so-called experts and should think for ourselves.
