KENOSHA, Wis. — A 32-year-old Kenosha man is facing multiple criminal charges after he allegedly beat the mother of his child in front of their 4-year-old son, stole her SUV, and later sent her a video of himself holding a knife to his throat.
Jesus I. Aguilera was charged Monday in Kenosha County Circuit Court with felony intimidation of a victim, battery, disorderly conduct, and taking and driving a vehicle without the owner’s consent. All charges carry domestic abuse and repeater enhancers. He also faces sentencing enhancements as a habitual criminal due to a prior felony bail jumping conviction in 2023.

According to the criminal complaint, Kenosha police were dispatched to a residence in the 6500 block of 17th Avenue around 4:55 p.m. on May 11. A 911 hang-up call with an open line captured sounds of a woman crying and screaming before the call went silent. Officers arriving on scene found a red cell phone in the yard, later confirmed to be the victim’s phone. A neighbor told police he had heard loud banging and cries from the upper apartment, followed by a man leaving the home and driving off in a Chevrolet Equinox.
The victim told police that Aguilera entered her home uninvited, accused her of hiding another man, and began ransacking the residence. She said he then grabbed a knife and mimicked stabbing himself, saying “Do you see what you make me do?” before smashing a beer bottle on his own head and bleeding from the cuts. When she tried to call 911, Aguilera allegedly snatched her phone, pushed her into a door, and punched her in the cheek. Officers noted visible swelling and bruising.
She said their 4-year-old son tried to protect her and was grabbed by Aguilera, prompting her to intervene physically. Aguilera allegedly struck her again before taking her keys and fleeing in her SUV without consent.
That night, Aguilera reportedly sent the victim a video of himself holding a knife to his throat and threatening to kill himself. Police traced the location of the video to Aguilera’s residence, where they responded shortly after midnight.
Aguilera has two prior domestic violence convictions—criminal damage to property in 2023 and disorderly conduct in 2021—qualifying him as a domestic abuse repeater. If convicted on all charges with the enhancers, he faces over 18 years in prison.
Court Commissioner William Michel II set cash bail at $10,000 during Aguilera’s initial appearance Monday. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 16.

How did you get this information? The Victim in this story is 100% real and nothing is alleged. She has the bruises to prove it and her son saw this. I know them personally. She asked you to remove the article.
Duh. Public information…
He needs to be locked up for a long time! A man who puts his hands on a woman, and child is not a real man.
100% agree!
This guy looks like he enjoys his night night juice.
Send him back to his country or El Salvador 🇸🇻 Prison ASAP.
