KENOSHA, Wis. — A 30-year-old Illinois man remains jailed in Kenosha County after police allegedly uncovered a significant stash of illegal drugs, cash, and trafficking paraphernalia during a traffic stop late Tuesday night.

(Kenosha County Sheriff)
Justin T. Williams, of Riverdale, Illinois, was formally charged Wednesday with five felony counts of possession with intent to deliver various controlled substances. According to the criminal complaint, those substances included cocaine, fentanyl, heroin, amphetamines, and THC. Each charge carries an added penalty enhancer because of Williams’ prior felony conviction for firearm possession in Cook County, Illinois, in 2022.
Kenosha police officers conducted a traffic stop around the 3100 block of 52nd Street after spotting a black Toyota sedan with no illumination over the rear license plate. Williams, the sole occupant of the car, was pulled over and questioned. Officers reported smelling a faint odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and asked Williams to exit. He denied smoking in the car but admitted to using marijuana a few hours earlier.
A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed a backpack on the back seat emitting a strong marijuana odor. Officers recovered multiple forms of suspected drugs, including over 59 grams of cocaine, 3 grams of amphetamines, 1.3 grams of heroin, and a small quantity of fentanyl. A jar containing more than 22 grams of THC was also located. Police also seized a digital scale, packaging materials, four cell phones, and more than $4,500 in cash in various denominations.
The criminal complaint notes that officers believed the items were consistent with large-scale drug distribution, not personal use.
Williams appeared in court Wednesday afternoon, where Kenosha County Court Commissioner William Michel II ordered a $100,000 cash bail. Prosecutors emphasized the volume of drugs and his prior criminal history when requesting the high amount. Williams remains in custody at the Kenosha County Jail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 26.
If convicted on all counts, Williams faces a potential prison sentence exceeding 80 years due to the repeater enhancers attached to each charge.

I wonder when someone in law enforcement is going to do something about the well-known drug and gun house at 7719 23rd Avenue. I’ve personally emailed details to KPD, KSD, and the DA’s Office to no avail. Big time trafficking place.
The old license plate illumination will get you every time.
