TWIN LAKES, Wis. — A 23-year-old Oak Creek man is facing multiple criminal charges after allegedly pointing and firing a handgun near a Twin Lakes residence early Sunday morning while intoxicated, according to a criminal complaint filed in Kenosha County Circuit Court.

Brayden N. Jones was formally charged Monday with six counts, including second-degree recklessly endangering safety with a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm while intoxicated, negligent handling of a weapon, pointing a firearm at another person, disorderly conduct with a dangerous weapon, and discharging a firearm within 100 yards of a building.
Court Commissioner William Michel II set Jones’s cash bail at $50,000 during his initial appearance. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on July 25.
Twin Lakes police responded to reports of shots fired around 4:43 a.m. Sunday near the 1800 block of Musial Road. Witnesses said Jones brandished a handgun and fired a round before fleeing the scene in a black Tesla with two other men.
Police stopped the vehicle shortly afterward and recovered a loaded 9mm FN Reflex pistol with a green laser sight from the center console. A single spent casing was located near the original scene.
According to the complaint, Jones showed signs of intoxication and registered a blood alcohol content of 0.15. He allegedly gave conflicting statements to police—initially blaming a passenger—but ultimately admitted to owning and firing the weapon. “It was my firearm, so I’ll take the blame for it,” he reportedly told officers.
Witnesses, including the alleged victim, identified Jones as the individual who fired the shot. A co-occupant of the car later told police Jones had pointed the weapon at both passengers “to intimidate them” before firing it into a nearby field.
If convicted on all charges, Jones could face more than a decade in prison.
