KENOSHA, Wis. — The City of Kenosha’s two public pools will wrap up the 2025 season on Sunday, Aug. 17, capping a summer that drew more than 15,000 visits to Washington Park Pool and Anderson Park Pool.
The pools opened June 17 and ran a full slate of family-friendly amenities throughout the summer. Washington Park Pool, 1821 Washington Road, features zero-depth entry with interactive water features, a 200-foot water slide, a drop slide, a diving board, and plenty of deck seating with umbrellas. Anderson Park Pool, 8730 22nd Ave., offers a large main pool, a tot pool with a small children’s slide, two full-size water slides, a diving board, a splash pad, lockers, and deck seating.
Parks Director Katie Elder thanked residents and visitors for a strong turnout, saying the department looks forward to reopening after off-season maintenance. City officials also noted that certified lifeguards—many of them local high school and college students—helped keep both pools operating at the same time during peak days.
For more information about city parks and seasonal programming, the city directs residents to its parks department.

People’s backyard pools are open till the temps turn. Just till the 17th of August ?
Such a shame they can’t find people other than kids to work the chairs.
High school kids don’t go back to school for a couple more weeks.
Why can’t they work more ?
