SOMERS, Wis. — A 35-year-old Chicago man was charged in Kenosha County Circuit Court today after an early-morning pursuit that allegedly hit 90 mph and ended in a crash. Cash bail was set at $20,000, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 28.

Prosecutors charged Brandon Lamar Parks with one count of fleeing or eluding an officer (Class H felony) and one count of possession of THC (misdemeanor). The felony carries a maximum penalty of up to six years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
Deputies attempted a traffic stop around 2 a.m. Sunday after spotting a Jeep Cherokee with a suspended registration on Sheridan Road. Instead of stopping, the driver allegedly accelerated, ran multiple red lights, and drove the wrong way through a construction zone while reaching speeds up to 90 mph.
The Jeep eventually turned onto a dead-end street, cut through a yard, and was later found crashed into a parked vehicle on 23rd Avenue. Deputies recovered an Illinois photo ID and a cell phone from the Jeep, along with two baggies of marijuana totaling about 10 grams. According to the complaint, Parks admitted he was the driver, said he crashed, and stated he ran because marijuana was in the vehicle.
In addition to the criminal charges, Parks was cited for operating without a valid license, reckless driving–endangering safety, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, deviation from designated lane, failure to stop at a stop sign, and violation of a red traffic light.
Court Commissioner William Michel II ordered the $20,000 cash bail. The preliminary hearing is set for Aug. 28.

This is a good start. Wisconsin needs to show drivers that we will not tolerate these dangerous speeds.
National guard please! It is plain and obvious that crime is out of control! These mayors don’t want to admit it because they fear it will take away their jobs! 🤨
Im pretty sure this was past my house. That car was flying and headed right towards construction on 22nd and Washington.
They hold the golden ticket….
