KENOSHA, Wis. — The City’s annual Fall Into Fun Festival—originally slated for Saturday, Oct. 18—has been rescheduled to Saturday, Oct. 25, due to a forecast calling for rain most of the day. The free, family-friendly event will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park outside City Hall, 625 52nd St.
Organizers say the change of date won’t dampen the lineup. Midwest DJ Productions will spin kid-friendly tracks and host on-site contests with prizes, while Jerry Smith Farms is donating small pumpkins for children on a first-come, first-served basis. Creative help will be on hand at the Maggie Mae Creations station set up under the blue-and-white canopies near the stage, where families can decorate pumpkins together.
Face painting returns under those same canopies, and the costume contests—hosted by Visit Kenosha and the Lakeshore Business Improvement District—will feature categories for kids, teens, adults and even dogs. Contest judging begins promptly at noon, so attendees are encouraged to arrive early. Between activities, visitors can stroll downtown and check out the seasonal storefront window displays.
The festival is sponsored by the City of Kenosha and the Lakeshore Business Improvement District with support from community partners including Jerry Smith Farms, Visit Kenosha and the Kenosha Public Market. Free parking is available throughout downtown, including the ramp at Eighth Avenue and 56th Street.
