KENOSHA, Wis. — Kenosha County Public Health, in partnership with local organizations, will host its annual back-to-school health fair from 3 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 21, at Brass Community School, 6400 15th Ave.
The free event will feature giveaways of backpacks and school supplies, along with opportunities for families to connect with more than 40 community programs and resources. A limited number of immunizations will be offered to children enrolled in or eligible for Medicaid, those without insurance, and those whose insurance does not cover vaccines.
Organizers say the fair has become a well-attended tradition. “This event has been very popular over the last couple of years, with hundreds of families coming out to make sure they’re prepared for the new school year,” County Executive Samantha Kerkman said. “It’s a great opportunity to learn about the health and family resources available from the county and our community partners.”
In addition to Kenosha County Public Health, event partners include the Racine Kenosha Community Action Agency, the Shalom Center, and WIC. County officials encourage families to arrive early, as supplies and vaccines are limited
