KENOSHA, Wis. — Questions are mounting for Kenosha County Sheriff David Zoerner after records confirmed that convicted child groomer Christian Enwright received 90 days of work crew credit toward his jail sentence — despite Zoerner previously telling Kenosha County Eye that Enwright was “absolutely not” participating in work crew.

Enwright had been sentenced to 450 days in the Kenosha County Jail. Recently, readers of Kenosha County Eye noticed that Enwright appeared to have been released earlier than expected. The outlet began asking questions about how the sentence had been calculated.
Months earlier, Kenosha County Eye contacted the sheriff’s office after receiving tips that Enwright was participating in work crew. In a Sept. 27, 2025 email responding to the inquiry, Zoerner wrote simply: “Absolutely not. He is in custody.”
However, the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office has since confirmed that Enwright did receive significant jail credit that reduced his time behind bars.
According to Lt. Forster, the jail applied 112 days of statutory good-time credit along with 90 days of work crew credit that Enwright earned while in custody.
Those credits are administered by the jail under its policies and reduce the amount of time an inmate must remain in custody.
When those credits are applied to the 450-day sentence, the remaining time to be served is 248 days, which explains the timing of his release.
The confirmation directly contradicts Zoerner’s earlier statement denying that Enwright had been placed on work crew.
Work crew programs allow inmates to earn sentence reductions while performing labor assignments authorized by jail officials. The amount of credit can significantly shorten the time a person spends in custody.
Enwright’s early release also occurred on the same day that Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers signed a new anti-grooming law sponsored by State Rep. Amanda Nedweski. The legislation strengthens Wisconsin’s laws aimed at protecting children from sexual grooming and exploitation.
The timing drew additional attention locally, as the convicted child groomer was released the same day the new protections were signed into law.
Kenosha County Eye reached out to the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office seeking clarification about Zoerner’s earlier denial but had not received a response as of publication.
The revelation has renewed criticism of the sheriff’s office and raised fresh questions about transparency surrounding the handling of Enwright’s incarceration and early release.

I bet Kenosha exposed SUPPORTs this predator being released.
So does Zoerner apparently. He must be a groomer himself. Wonder if he’s on Epstein list?
Zoerner could be on Epstein’s list. But we all know that Trump is on that list.

Trump could give him the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Trump gives it away like candy to the kids at Halloween.
