***Note This article was published on Tuesday night and taken down on Wednesday at the respectful request of the Kenosha Police Department Public Information Officer, Lieutenant Joe Nosalik. The choice was easy for us. We took it down, as to not alert this (alleged murderer) that he was wanted by police. Today we spoke to the Detective Bureau Captain and he said it would be safe to put this article back up. The information is out there. It’s public records and anyone with a cell phone can see the warrant. Today, December 17, 2021, we reposted this article with some updated information.***

On Monday, December 13, 2021, a Kenosha Court Commissioner signed a $1,000,000 warrant for the immediate arrest of an Illinois man – Tiron M. Washington. Washington is accused of shooting 15 rounds into the vehicle of a 35 year old Kenosha man, striking him several times, and killing him. Moore was set to testify against Washington in a felony firearms sale case in Lake County, IL.

According to the criminal complaint, On December 10, 2021 at 7:13am, police were called to the intersection of 26th St and 23rd Ave for a report of a man with a machine gun firing at a parked car. Police arrived and found Moore inside his truck and a hole in the driver’s side window. Moore was pronounced dead on the scene. According to surveillance footage, Moore was inside his truck that was parked in front of his home. A Silver BMW 320i drove up to Moore’s truck and parked in front of it. An individual wearing all white exited the BMW and fired multiple rounds into Moore’s truck through the driver’s side window striking Moore multiple times. The man in white entered the BMW and took off.  The BMW was stolen from Justice, IL about three weeks ago and was abandoned a few blocks away after the shooting and located by police. Another video showed the man in white exit the BMW and get into a dark-colored Jeep and leave the area southbound on Sheridan Rd. The jeep was later found, unoccupied and running in the 1800 block of Sheridan Rd . A plethora of evidence was located in the jeep, including a firearm that fires the same caliber rounds as the shells located at the murder scene. Yet another video from this location showed two men, one assumingly Washington, and the other, assumingly also involved in this homicide, perhaps as the getaway driver. The man who is the alleged trigger man took off his white clothing and put it into a garbage can that was recovered by police.

The owner of the jeep, Shanta D. Davis is Washington’s ex girlfriend. Police had her review the video and she confirmed that the man who took off the white clothing was Washington. He had black clothing underneath. On January 13, 2021 the victim allegedly illegally purchased a firearm from Washington from Washington’s residence in Zion, IL. Washington was charged with a felony for selling the gun to Moore in Lake County, IL Circuit Court. It is assumed that Washington wanted the witness dead so he couldn’t testify at his upcoming trial. It is unclear if the victim, a convicted felon and sex offender was charged with a crime for this purchase, but Illinois court records appear to show he was not. One of Washington’s friends, Stephen Mintern was asked to store the stolen BMW a week before the homicide. Washington’s cousin drove the BMW to Mintern’s house. Washington gave his cousin and Mintern gloves to wear when inside the BMW. Mintern doesn’t appear to have been charged with anything yet. A woman named Alyssa Vanderwall who’s relation to Washington isn’t mentioned, and Mintern drove to BMW to a Kenosha trailer park in Kenosha and dropped it off – Washington and his cousin followed behind. Washington paid Vanderwall in Heroin for helping him stage the vehicle. Washington left the BMW in the trailer park and drove the three back, including his cousin. A woman named Angela Moore, who’s involvement isn’t stated, told police that Shanta Davis’s child heard Washington threaten to kill Moore a few days prior to the murder.

This is the 15th murder in the city of Kenosha marking a 300% increase from the last 12 years. We texted Mayor John Antaramian and he did not wish to share his plan of curtailing the violence with us, if he has one.

He will likely blame a lack of gun control like he has done so many times in the past. No gun laws would have helped this situation. Both men being felons are barred by federal and state law from possessing a firearm. Since Washington “crossed state lines” to commit this murder, we wonder if our local Democratic leaders will give this extra consideration like they did with Rittenhouse.

KCE spoke to a 46-year-old female resident of this north-side neighborhood on the condition we wouldn’t release her name. She told us that she is furious at City leaders and isn’t expecting to hear from them soon. She told us she hasn’t felt safe in her own home since the early morning shooting. She wants

Embattled Kenosha district attorney Michael Graveley (D) made this murder and the details public by entering the warrant and complaint into the statewide court system and not asking it to be sealed. It is unknown if Kenosha police wanted all of this information to be public record yet. He likely charged this case so early to score points for his reputation which many see as beyond redemption. This is the type of murder case that DA Graveley will personally prosecute as it will be a slam dunk. There is multiple security cameras that caught him after the shooting and will likely be DNA evidence and fingerprints.

Lake County Incident

We have learned more about this case after speaking with Illinois Law Enforcement. Federal Authorities were working with a CI (Confidential Informant) to commit controlled buys of guns from Washington. It is believed by KCE, that the CI was Moore, but of course police can’t confirm or deny this. Federal agents didn’t obtain sufficient evidence to indict Washington Federally, but Zion Police and the Lake County Sheriff’s Office investigated and referred charges to the Lake County State’s Attorney. Washington was charged on May 26, 2021 for three counts of possession of weapons (Enhanced) by a felon. He could face almost 75 years behind bars. The victim, Max Moore bought at least one firearm from Washington according to Kenosha prosecutors. Washington is a bad hombre:

2013 Resist Officer

2013 (5 Counts) Home Invasion (2 Counts) Armed Habitual Criminality

2009 Defraud Drug and Alcohol Screening Test

2008 Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance With Intent To Deliver

This man is considered armed and dangerous – if you see him call 911.

Opinion: It’s time for shot-spotter. Shot-spotter is a gunshot detection system and is used in cities like Milwaukee. It alerts the police department of gunshots within seconds. It tells police exactly where the shots occurred. It’s scary for anybody to admit we need that here in Kenosha, but Kenosha Alderman Rocco LaMacchia, who chairs the public safety and welfare committee tells KCE that he is in the early stages of research and feasibility into the implementation of this system. We also heard from Alderman Paff who told us in part, “I am disgusted with the murders and careless violence that seems to have adopted Kenosha as its new home. I would value a concerted effort to squash the violence.” We applaud LaMacchia and Paff for being seemingly the only city officials who are interested in the almost daily shootings in this city.

  1. Where’s all the Kenosha activists to stand up? Where’s the kenosha county supervisors that like to be loud when the camera is on? Where are the marches for justice? Wrong agenda? Hypocritical much?

  2. Almost don’t care. A pos killed a pos.

Except he’s clearly dangerous. Too bad he didn’t draw on cops.

Anyone else sick of all this huwhite supremacist violence?

  3. Ha! The only thing Dave Paff supports is getting blackout drunk every night of the week and urinating in public.

Maybe the KCE should do some hard hitting investigation into the number of times Mr. Paff has been cut off or kicked out of at local bars since his wife left him.
