District Attorney-Elect Xavier Solis is proud to announce Andrew “Drew” Burgoyne as his selection for Deputy District Attorney. Burgoyne brings 16 years of experience as a prosecutor in the Kenosha County District Attorney’s office, along with a well-earned reputation for fairness, integrity, and commitment to justice.

A 2005 graduate of Marquette Law School, Burgoyne has served Kenosha County with distinction, earning the respect of both his colleagues and the defense bar. Known for his straightforward communication, reasonableness, and positive demeanor, Burgoyne is a trusted advocate for justice and public safety.

Burgoyne resides in Pleasant Prairie with his wife and children, and his faith continues to inspire his work. Reflecting on his role as a prosecutor, Burgoyne stated, “I have had a good working relationship with Xavier for many years in his role as a defense attorney. I believe that I will continue to have a good working relationship with him as the elected District Attorney. I believe that I can continue to bring value to the people of Kenosha County in this new role going forward.”

    2. Mr. Solis is not the first attorney from outside a prosecutor’s office to win an election. I appreciate that there are people who didn’t vote for him and they may have had very good reasons but he won the election fair and square and now deserves a chance to prove he’s up to the task. He deserves a fair chance the same as Ms. McNeill would had she won. Maybe he’ll do some good. Seems like he’s made one good decision already.
