A disorderly conduct charge against a Salem Lakes Trustee was dismissed last week by the Kenosha County DA’s office. The single charge was for disorderly conduct.
Young was arrested and June 5, 2023 and charged with disorderly conduct. Young, an eight year veteran of the U.S. Army was arrested just after midnight. Young, who was honorably discharged from the Army for PTSD, completed his second tour in Iraq even after being injured when his Humvee came under enemy fire.
According to the criminal complaint and a source that was present during the incident, Young became concerned when he learned his children were up very late that Sunday night at a bonfire. He went to the location where the children were, and became verbally upset. He argued loudly with an adult at the fire. There were no allegations of any violence or harm done to anybody at the gathering.
KCE spoke with Young after his charge was dismissed. “I’m glad that this temporary distraction is over and I can continue to work for the residents of Salem Lakes.”

A good outcome for Young. Sounds like the Bonfire Host should have gotten his butt kicked by concerned parents as well as Young’s Arresting Officer.
Finally the DA’s office made the right decision!!!
Perhaps there’s a glimmer of hope after all, but let’s not hold our breath!!
Glad this is behind him and he can move forward in helping Salem get back on track. Who’s going to run against Stienbrink in PP? Come on people!
