Bogdala will be sworn in again at tonight’s organizational meeting as more of a ceremonial event, but this morning made it official – and legal. Bogdala began his first four-year term today after defeating opponent Lydia Spottswood by a large margin. In a morning packed with meetings, Mayor Bogdala was gracious enough to set aside a few minutes for KCE to asks a few questions. In between discussions with aldermen, department heads, and staff, KCE asked Bogdala about the future of Kenosha.

First order of business? Bogdala will be appointing the 17 Alderman to the various committees tonight, but he said the no one should expect big changes. “Only one Alderman asked to be re-assigned to a different committee,” said Bogdala. Over the last two weeks, the previous mayor, John Antaramian, made his conference room available to Bogdala to start meeting with staff and department heads to begin the transition. Bogdala says that he had an advantage with his 16 years experience as an active Alderman. “The staff has been amazing. I’m going to be meeting with all of the department heads [in the coming days] and asking for input. Everybody’s been more than helpful.”

      1. Actually, it does, and you probably shouldn’t be worried about it since you aren’t even bright enough to know that on your own. The election was a binary choice, one or the other and there’s always one that is a better choice. I agree that in this case it was Bogdala, because the other choice was absolutely unthinkable.

  1. Every mayor turns into an ass kisser for those who pay them off… and they forget about the rest of us and the city too.

Trolley to nowhere. Crappy apartments blocking the lake view. Downtown “development” that never happens. Casino plan to increase crime and traffic.

What nonsense will this one come up with?
