KENOSHA, Wis. – A 76-year-old Kenosha man is facing a felony charge after allegedly fleeing the scene of a crash that injured a woman traveling with her young daughter.
Glenn Nagel Love was formally charged in Kenosha County Circuit Court Thursday with one count of hit and run causing injury. Court Commissioner William Michel II set Love’s cash bond at $1,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 13.
According to a criminal complaint filed by the Kenosha County District Attorney’s Office, the collision occurred around 1:23 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of 75th Street and 41st Avenue. A woman reported that she was driving eastbound when a black sedan suddenly pulled out in front of her from 41st Avenue. Unable to stop in time, she struck the car, causing her airbags to deploy.
She told officers she was experiencing pain in her right leg, right arm, and lip but declined medical attention at the scene, opting instead to drive herself and her toddler daughter to the hospital for evaluation. The child, properly secured in a car seat, appeared uninjured but was also taken in for precautionary medical care.
Witnesses and surveillance footage helped officers identify the suspect vehicle as a black Volkswagen sedan with rear-end damage. Police traced the car to Love, who allegedly admitted he had been driving around the time of the crash and recalled hitting something but believed it was a curb. He told officers he has high blood pressure and felt “off” while driving.
Investigators determined that Love failed to yield at the intersection, causing the crash, and left the scene without providing information or checking on the other driver and child.
If convicted, Love faces up to nine months in jail and a fine of $10,000.

Just like Vito in the Sopranos, his blood pressure meds were the problem.
