KENOSHA, Wis. — A woman’s 911 call about two men pointing pistols at her porch has led to a sweeping criminal case involving three men on probation, a stolen firearm, and a police search that turned up drugs and ammunition inside a Kenosha home.
David Sanchez Jr., 25, William Phillips Jr., 19, and Dakota Shufelt, 23, were all taken into custody on May 14 after police stopped their vehicle near the 4300 block of 21st Avenue—just minutes after the alleged threat was reported outside the woman’s home in the 5100 block.

Sanchez is charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, pointing a firearm at a person, and felony possession of THC as a second or subsequent offense. All three charges are enhanced due to his prior felony record. Phillips is charged with misdemeanor pointing a firearm at a person, while Shufelt is charged with misdemeanor possession of THC.
According to the complaint, the victim told police that two men in a black Nissan Maxima pointed guns at her from inside the car. She identified the driver as “David” and the front-seat passenger as “William P.,” adding that she believed the incident was related to a past conflict involving her son and Phillips. She said one man pointed a black pistol with light-colored grips and the other a green pistol. Fearing they would shoot, she backed into her home and injured her knee in the process.
Police quickly located the Maxima with four occupants: Sanchez in the driver’s seat, Johnson in the front passenger seat, Phillips in the left rear, and Shufelt in the right rear. Officers found a tan Glock 19X handgun under the front passenger seat. Sanchez said the firearm belonged to Phillips, though he denied handling it. Phillips denied having any gun.
After all four were detained, officers executed a search warrant at the residence and a parked Chevrolet Cruze. Inside, they discovered a second gun—reported stolen from Mount Pleasant—along with cocaine, marijuana, prescription pills, a bottle of Promethazine with no label, drug paraphernalia, and two calibers of ammunition. Most of the contraband was found in the bedroom shared by Sanchez and his girlfriend, Anale Johnson.
Investigators say both Sanchez and Phillips had access to the home and the vehicle where the stolen firearm was recovered. Phillips had reportedly been sentenced to probation just hours earlier at the Kenosha County Courthouse.
Shufelt denied possessing the marijuana found near his feet in the backseat and told officers he had only recently returned home after serving time in prison for aiding a felon in a homicide case. He said he was unaware of any weapons in the vehicle and denied involvement in the confrontation. Despite his presence in the car and active probation status, Shufelt’s probation agent authorized his release and did not seek any serious sanctions.
Shufelt later posted $100 in statutory bail and is scheduled for an initial court appearance on June 17. Phillips’ bail was set today at $5,000 be Kenosha County Court Commissioner William Michel II. Sanchez is being held on a $15,000 cash bail and is due back in court later this month for a preliminary hearing. Police say one of the firearms allegedly brandished during the incident remains unaccounted for.

Keep an eye on these cases, and whether the department of corrections does anything about their probation violations. Odds are, nothing will happen and they’ll probably get probation on the new charges. What are we doing?
Ever’s department of non corrections is full of bleeding heart liberals. Keep collecting that asshole and we can change the name of Wisconsin to Calisconsin
