PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. — Two women are in custody and expected to be formally charged Friday in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of a pedestrian on Old Green Bay Road earlier this week.
According to Pleasant Prairie police, officers and rescue personnel responded at 10:23 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, to the 8900 block of Old Green Bay Road for a report of an injured person in the roadway. The victim was found with critical injuries and transported by ambulance to Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital, then airlifted to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, a Level 1 trauma center. Despite life-saving efforts, the individual later died.
The Kenosha County Major Crash Assistance Team (MCAT) assisted with the investigation, and the roadway remained closed for several hours as investigators processed the scene.
Police say the investigation led them to identify both a suspect and the involved vehicle. On April 30, Briona A. Bishop, 34, of Pleasant Prairie, was taken into custody at her home on suspicion of Hit and Run Involving Death, a felony. Alexis J. Dodson, 26, also of Pleasant Prairie, was arrested for allegedly Harboring and Aiding a Felon.

Both women are being held in the Kenosha County Jail pending formal charges. Bishop is expected to be charged with Felony Hit and Run Involving Death, and Dodson is expected to face charges of Harboring and Aiding a Felon.
The vehicle believed to be involved was recovered and is being processed for evidence. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released, pending notification by the Kenosha County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The investigation is ongoing.

Maybe they should be considered for Pleasant Prairies mental health initiative as officers are trained In recognizing mental health ideologies?
Before I would ever join this parade to judgment, I’d have to ask myself what was a person doing walking on Old Green Bay Road at night, were they dressed in any kind of light or reflective clothing? Were they actually walking on the roadway or right next to it? I’m certainly going to wait until I see some answers from the investigation.
Regardless if you hit someone, stop and render aid, call for help. You don’t leave them to die.
